Junior Project Manager / Drafting Coordinator
Preferred Energy Inc. is seeking an organized, motivated, and technically minded Project Manager / Drafting Coordinator to join our growing team.
Location: ESTEVAN
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of our expanding fabrication division while learning and operating advanced robotic scanning and beamline technology. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating projects from concept through fabrication while supporting our production and construction teams.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate multiple fabrication and construction projects
- Learn and operate advanced 3D scanning and HGG beamline software
- Prepare cut lists, material take-offs, and fabrication documentation
- Review drawings and ensure fabrication accuracy
- Coordinate with customers, engineers, and field personnel
- Track project schedules and production milestones
- Assist with estimating and procurement
- Maintain project documentation and drawing revisions
- Support production planning and workflow improvements
- Assist with quality control throughout fabrication
Qualifications
- A diploma in engineering design technology is an asset
- Experience with drafting, detailing, or project management
- Ability to read structural steel and fabrication drawings
- Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar drafting software
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail
- Experience in structural steel, oil & gas, industrial construction, or manufacturing is considered an asset
