Job Description
WithintheSouth Westregionof the UK, our Infrastructure team hasestablishedstrong positions across the Transport and Utilities sectors. With significant growth in recent years, we are continuing to expand our presence and are looking to connect with Senior Project Managers, particularly those based in Bristol, Cardiffand the widerSouth Westarea.
We offer the opportunity to work onhighprofileprojects and programmes across the region, alongside wider UK opportunities, supportingclientsunderNew Engineering Contract (NEC), Professional Service Contracts (PSC) andEngineeringandConstructionContract (ECC)PM roles. We are seeking Project Managers who enjoy collaborating to solve complex challenges and are keen to develop their technical skills and experience.
Job Objectives: - Managing and administrating NEC PSC and/or ECC contracts;
- Managing,leadingand developing project teams or work streams as part of larger projects and delivering results through others;
- Being responsible forhigh qualitydelivery on a client assignment;
- Buildinglongtermtrustedadvisor relationships with our clients;
- Actively developing solutions and supporting tools and methods;
- Liaising with service line teams, accountteamsand functional specialists;
- Communicating effectively and focusing on efficient,collaborativeand quality delivery.
RequiredExperience: - Experience in managing small to medium sized teams as part of a blended effort working alongside other organisations;
- Strong interpersonal skills, comfortable working with a diverse range of personalities across clients and partner organisations;
- Ability to engage and manage multiple stakeholders and manage cross functional projects;
- Abilityto deliver projectpackages or small tomedium sizeprojectswithin a technically complex environment whilst ensuringhigh levelsof safety and environmental responsibility;
- Strong analytical and numerical skills / flexibility to understand complex problems and shape these into workable solutions for delivery;
- Ability to develop and deliverhigh qualityoutput against stated business and technical projectobjectivesand meet tight deadlines safely;
- Ability tomaintainmomentum, support colleagues and deliver successful outcomes in challenging project environments;
- Strong understanding of the project controls disciplines such as planning,riskand change with the ability to interpret the information they provide and support insightful reporting.
- Ability to develop effective written presentations andparticipateeffectively in meetings with senior client staff;
- Experience of managing contractors,consultantsand other advisors on civil engineering projects;
- Ensure the principles of lessonslearntand knowledge capture are practiced as business as usual;
- Awarenessof theConstruction (Design and Management) Regulations;
PreferredExperience: - Experience of project management and/or programme management, adding value at theinitialstrategic planning phase all the way into implementation,constructionand delivery in the context of infrastructure projects and programmes;
- Previousexperience of working with UK Government and Local Authority organisations would be beneficial particularly any Flood Risk Asset Management Authorities, Environment Agency and /or Water Companies;
- Previousexperience of procurement and managing NEC contracts would behighlyadvantageousbut not essential;
Qualifications
- Project management certification (Association of Project Managers (APM), Institute of Project Managers (IPM) or PRINCE2);
- Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) qualification in an engineering or construction field;
- Professionally qualified or near qualified status with the Institute of Civil Engineering (ICE), Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM), or similar professional institution would be advantageous;
- NEC3 or NEC4 PM Accreditation.
- Construction Institution Training Board (CITB) Site Management Safety Training Course would also be desirable
- Full UK Driving License
