# Project ManagerLocationRickmansworth, Hertfordshire, South East, EnglandSalaryCompetitiveContract TypeContractWork TypeFull TimePosted on11 Aug 2026**Responsibilities*** Lead the delivery of MEP works across five shafts, associated headhouses, and two portal buildings.* Manage the full lifecycle from detailed design through mobilisation and construction delivery.* Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders.* Ensure MEP works are delivered safely, to programme, within budget, and meeting quality standards.* Review and manage detailed design outputs for constructability and efficiency.* Oversee contractor performance and programme adherence.* Manage risks, opportunities, interfaces, and control changes throughout the project.* Monitor progress, report milestones, and implement recovery plans when required.* Support procurement, commissioning, testing, and handover activities.* Produce reports and updates for senior management and key stakeholders. **Must-have Requirements*** Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering large-scale MEP works.* Background in major infrastructure or complex projects such as rail, tunnelling, utilities, or energy.* In-depth knowledge of: + Mechanical systems + Electrical systems + Building services + Public health systems + Testing and commissioning* Experience managing full project cycles through design, mobilisation, and construction phases.* Strong capabilities in contractor and multidisciplinary team coordination.* Excellent programme and stakeholder management skills.* Experience in regulated environments and strong leadership skills. **Nice-to-have Skills*** Previous experience on HS2 or similar major rail or tunnelling projects.* Exposure to MEP delivery in shafts, portals, tunnels, or major infrastructure assets.* Degree in Engineering, Building Services, or related discipline.* Chartered status or working towards it.* Familiarity with NEC contracts and project controls processes. **Location and Working Pattern** Maple Cross, Hertfordshire (South Portal Site) Full-time on-site role Contract duration: **August 2026 to late 2028** The NRL Group connect global companies with the right people to bring engineering projects to life.
