About the Role
Our client, a dynamic and expanding property development group, is seeking an experienced Property Development Project Manager to oversee a diverse range of construction and development projects in the Nottingham, Nottinghamshire area. This is a hands-on role responsible for managing projects from inception through to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the development process, excellent project management skills, and a proven ability to coordinate effectively with all project stakeholders, including contractors, consultants, and local authorities. You will be instrumental in driving the success of our client's development pipeline within the bustling Nottingham property market.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of property development projects, from feasibility and planning through to construction and handover.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress against these.
- Procure and manage contractors and consultants, ensuring adherence to contract terms and performance standards.
- Oversee site operations, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Liaise with planning departments and other regulatory bodies to secure necessary approvals and permits.
- Control project costs, manage variations, and ensure financial objectives are met.
- Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings to track project advancement and address any issues promptly.
- Prepare regular project reports for senior management, detailing progress, risks, and financial status.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with all project stakeholders, fostering a collaborative environment.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in property development project management or a similar construction management role.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering development projects on time and within budget.
- Comprehensive understanding of the construction process, building regulations, and health & safety legislation.
- Strong knowledge of planning policy and the development process within Nottinghamshire .
- Excellent organisational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and standard office applications.
- Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Surveying, or a related discipline; professional accreditation (e.g., CIOB, RICS) is advantageous.
- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel within the Nottingham region.
