About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Remote Lead Project Manager to join their innovative technology team. This role is based entirely remotely, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the UK. The Lead Project Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and closing complex projects within defined timelines and budgets, ensuring successful delivery and stakeholder satisfaction. This position requires a strong understanding of project management methodologies, exceptional leadership capabilities, and the ability to foster collaboration within a distributed team environment. You will play a critical role in driving projects from conception through to completion, ensuring all milestones are met and objectives are achieved. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and adept at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple projects concurrently from initiation to closure.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, goals, deliverables, resources, budget, and schedules.
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders.
- Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Facilitate project meetings, including status updates, risk assessments, and decision-making sessions.
- Build, lead, and motivate a high-performing project team.
- Ensure the quality of project deliverables and adherence to company standards.
- Manage stakeholder relationships and provide regular project updates.
- Utilize project management software to track progress and report on project status.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive project management experience, with at least 3 years in a lead role.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- Experience managing remote teams and working in a distributed environment.
- Proficiency in Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
- Strong understanding of risk management, change management, and quality assurance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Asana, or MS Project.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification is highly desirable.
