About the Role
Our client, a leading charity focused on empowering young people in Portsmouth, Hampshire, UK , is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Project Manager. This role is crucial for the planning, execution, and successful delivery of key youth development programs. Key Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and oversee youth development projects from inception to completion.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
- Develop strong relationships with young people, schools, community groups, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure project activities are aligned with the charity's mission and objectives.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Prepare regular progress reports for senior management and funders.
- Facilitate workshops and activities for young participants.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Evaluate project outcomes and impact, gathering feedback for continuous improvement.
- Ensure safeguarding policies are adhered to in all project activities involving young people.
Requirements
- Proven experience in project management, preferably within the youth or community sector.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects, including planning, budgeting, and delivery.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in working with young people and understanding their developmental needs.
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Proficiency in project management software and standard office suites.
- A genuine passion for youth empowerment and social impact.
- Flexibility to travel within the Hampshire region as required.
- Relevant qualifications in youth work, social care, or project management are advantageous.
