About the Role
Our client seeks a highly experienced and dynamic Senior Construction Project Manager to lead significant building projects in the thriving city of Glasgow . You will be responsible for the overall management of projects, from initial planning and design through to final handover, overseeing budgets, schedules, and quality standards. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale construction projects from inception to completion.
- Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial controls, ensuring profitability.
- Create and maintain detailed project schedules, milestones, and critical path analyses.
- Oversee procurement processes, including contractor selection, negotiation, and contract management.
- Manage project risks, issues, and changes, implementing effective mitigation strategies.
- Ensure strict adherence to quality, safety, and environmental standards on all project sites.
- Foster strong communication and collaboration among project teams, clients, and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in construction project management , with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects.
- Demonstrated expertise in project planning , scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software such as MS Project or Primavera P6.
