About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly accomplished Senior Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of key energy infrastructure projects in the Reading area. This role requires a seasoned professional with a proven track record in managing large-scale projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will be instrumental in coordinating multidisciplinary teams, managing risks, and liaising with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies, to drive the UK's energy transition forward. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the full project lifecycle for complex energy infrastructure projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope definition, timelines, resource allocation, and budget management.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks, implementing mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Coordinate and manage multidisciplinary project teams, including engineers, contractors, and consultants.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities, ensuring clear and effective communication.
- Ensure all projects comply with relevant health, safety, environmental regulations , and quality standards.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years focused on energy sector projects (e.g., power generation, transmission, renewables).
- Proven experience managing projects with budgets exceeding £50 million.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile) and experience with project management software.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge of relevant energy infrastructure technologies and regulatory frameworks.
