About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned and dynamic Senior Project Manager with a focus on Renewable Energy projects to join their team in Reading . This leadership role will be responsible for the end-to-end management of complex renewable energy developments, from initial feasibility studies through to financial close and construction. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, manage stakeholder relationships, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong track record in project management within the energy sector, excellent negotiation skills, and a passion for driving the transition to sustainable energy sources.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full project lifecycle for renewable energy developments , including solar, wind, or battery storage.
- Develop and manage project plans, budgets, and schedules, ensuring milestones are met.
- Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Oversee stakeholder engagement, including landowners, local authorities, and grid operators.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies throughout the project duration.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field; a Master's degree or PMP certification is a plus.
- Significant experience (8+ years) in project management within the renewable energy sector.
- Proven ability to manage large-scale energy projects from conception to completion.
- Strong understanding of project finance, planning regulations, and grid connection processes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
