About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the development and execution of critical energy infrastructure projects in the Bristol area and across the South West region. This hybrid role requires a strategic leader capable of managing large-scale projects from conception through to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for coordinating diverse teams, managing stakeholders, and mitigating risks associated with complex energy developments, including renewables and grid enhancements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of energy infrastructure projects, including planning, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.
- Oversee cross-functional project teams, including engineers, contractors, and consultants.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, developing mitigation strategies.
- Liaise with stakeholders, including clients, regulatory bodies, and local communities, to ensure project success.
- Ensure adherence to all safety, environmental, and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; PMP or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in project management, specifically within the energy sector or infrastructure development.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale energy projects on time and within budget.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, risk management, and financial oversight.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing office and remote responsibilities.
