About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly organized and experienced Project Manager to lead significant energy infrastructure projects in the Bristol area. You will be responsible for the planning, execution, and successful delivery of complex projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, excellent stakeholder management, and a deep understanding of project management methodologies within the energy sector. You will play a key role in developing and maintaining the critical infrastructure that powers our communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end management of energy infrastructure projects, from initiation to closure.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Manage project risks, issues, and changes, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
- Coordinate and liaise with internal teams, contractors, suppliers, and external stakeholders.
- Ensure all project activities comply with relevant regulations, safety standards, and environmental policies.
- Monitor project progress, report on key performance indicators, and provide regular updates to senior management.
- Drive continuous improvement in project delivery processes and methodologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in project management, with a significant focus on energy infrastructure projects (e.g., renewables, transmission, distribution).
- Proven experience in managing project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.
- Strong understanding of project management software and techniques (e.g., MS Project, Agile, PRINCE2).
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- PMP or equivalent project management certification is highly desirable.
