About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced and forward-thinking Senior Construction Project Manager to spearhead complex projects from conception through to completion. This is a pivotal role that demands exceptional leadership, strategic planning, and a deep understanding of the construction lifecycle. You will be instrumental in driving project success, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and timeline, while fostering a collaborative and efficient remote working environment. Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies for major construction projects .
- Oversee and manage all phases of the construction process, from initial design and permitting to final handover and closeout, ensuring all activities align with project objectives.
- Budget management and financial oversight, including cost forecasting, tracking expenditures, and implementing cost-control measures to ensure profitability.
- Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and site supervisors, fostering effective communication and collaboration in a remote setting .
- Conduct regular site visits and progress reviews (where feasible and safe, or through detailed remote reporting and VNs) to monitor quality, safety, and compliance with all regulatory standards.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring favourable terms and performance.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in construction project management , with a proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale projects.
- Demonstrated expertise in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project) and remote collaboration tools .
- Strong understanding of building codes, zoning regulations, and safety standards applicable to UK construction .
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams remotely.
- Professional certifications such as PMP or MRICS are highly advantageous.
