About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned and strategic Senior Project Manager to lead significant commercial development projects from conception through to completion in Edinburgh . This leadership role involves full responsibility for project success, encompassing financial control, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and team leadership. You will be instrumental in delivering high-value commercial buildings, ensuring they meet stringent quality, safety, and sustainability standards. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire project lifecycle, including planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, budgets, and resource allocations.
- Lead and motivate project teams, including site staff, consultants, and contractors.
- Manage stakeholder relationships, including clients, local authorities, and third-party organisations.
- Implement robust risk management strategies and ensure all projects comply with H&S legislation.
- Negotiate contracts and manage commercial aspects to ensure profitability and value for money.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in project management within the commercial construction sector, with a proven track record of delivering large-scale developments.
- Strong commercial and contractual knowledge, ideally with experience of NEC or JCT contracts.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and financial modelling tools.
- Relevant professional qualification (e.g., RICS, CIOB, APM) is highly desirable.
