About the Role
Our client, a leading energy infrastructure developer, is seeking a results-driven Senior Project Manager to lead complex projects from their Derby office. This role involves overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from feasibility and design through to construction and commissioning, ensuring successful delivery within budget, schedule, and scope. You will manage diverse project teams, engage with stakeholders, and mitigate risks to achieve project objectives. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the planning, execution, and closing of energy infrastructure projects.
- Develop detailed project plans, budgets, and schedules, and monitor progress against milestones.
- Manage project risks, issues, and changes effectively throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate and collaborate with internal teams, external contractors, and stakeholders.
- Ensure projects comply with all relevant health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Communicate project status, performance, and key decisions to senior management and clients.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; PMP or PRINCE2 certification is essential.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, with a significant track record in the energy sector (oil & gas, renewables, utilities).
- Proven experience managing large-scale infrastructure projects from conception to completion.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, contract management, and financial oversight.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and often demanding project environment.
