About the Role
Our client is actively seeking a skilled Project Manager to join their burgeoning renewable energy division, based in Edinburgh . This role will involve managing the full project lifecycle for solar, wind, or other green energy installations, from site assessment and design through to construction, commissioning, and handover. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget, while meeting stringent industry standards and environmental targets. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and execution of renewable energy projects , including site selection, feasibility studies, and permitting.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and procurement processes effectively.
- Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure projects comply with all relevant health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement proactive solutions to ensure successful delivery.
- Communicate project status, challenges, and successes to stakeholders , including senior management and investors.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management , with specific experience in the renewable energy sector.
- Proven track record of managing projects from conception to completion, preferably in solar, wind, or battery storage.
- Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies, project development processes, and environmental regulations .
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field; PMP or similar certification is preferred.
