About the Role
Our client is seeking an accomplished Aerospace Project Manager to oversee critical projects within their dynamic aviation division in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear, UK . This leadership role demands strategic planning, resource allocation, and the successful delivery of complex aerospace initiatives from conception through to completion. You will be responsible for managing timelines, budgets, and cross-functional teams to ensure projects meet their objectives while adhering to the highest industry standards. The successful candidate will be a proactive communicator and a skilled problem-solver, driving project success in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the end-to-end lifecycle of aerospace projects, from initiation and planning to execution and closure.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope definition, resource allocation, budget management, and risk assessment.
- Coordinate and collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality assurance teams to ensure project milestones are met.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential roadblocks, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
- Communicate project status, risks, and outcomes effectively to stakeholders, including senior management and clients.
- Ensure all project activities comply with relevant aviation regulations, safety standards, and quality requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; PMP certification is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in project management within the aerospace or aviation industry.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex technical projects on time and within budget.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in a demanding, deadline-driven environment.
