About the Role
Our client is seeking a motivated Project Manager to join their busy Operations department in Portsmouth . This role is responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects that aim to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness across the organisation. You will work closely with operational teams, management, and other departments to identify areas for enhancement and implement strategic changes. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving, driving tangible improvements in daily operations and contributing to overall business success.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead projects focused on optimizing operational processes, reducing costs, and enhancing service delivery.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Manage project execution, ensuring adherence to schedules and budgets.
- Facilitate collaboration between operational teams, IT, and other stakeholders to achieve project goals.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Prepare comprehensive project reports and present findings and recommendations to senior management.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager , preferably with a focus on operational improvements or process engineering.
- Strong understanding of operational workflows and efficiency metrics.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- A degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field is advantageous.
