About the Role
Our client, a leading institution in the Financial Services sector, is seeking a distinguished Project Manager to join their team in Edinburgh . This role is integral to managing high-stakes projects focused on regulatory compliance, product development, and technological advancements within the financial markets. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end management of projects within the financial services domain, adhering to strict regulatory and compliance standards.
- Develop detailed project plans, manage scope, resources, timelines, and budgets effectively.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including risk management, compliance, IT, and business units.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, ensuring minimal disruption to operations and client services.
- Prepare and present comprehensive project status reports, updates, and post-implementation reviews to senior stakeholders.
- Ensure successful integration of new financial products, systems, or processes.
Requirements
- Minimum 6 years of project management experience, with a significant focus on financial services or banking.
- In-depth knowledge of financial regulations (e.g., MiFID II, GDPR) and compliance frameworks.
- Proven experience managing projects related to financial technology (FinTech), regulatory change, or digital banking.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
