About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Project Manager to lead significant Capital Projects in Edinburgh . This role is pivotal in managing the strategic planning, execution, and delivery of high-value capital investments, including property development and infrastructure enhancements. You will be responsible for ensuring these projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while effectively managing stakeholder expectations and mitigating project risks. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commercial acumen and a detailed understanding of the capital investment lifecycle in a dynamic urban environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end management of diverse capital projects , from feasibility studies to project close-out in Edinburgh .
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope definition, budget forecasting, resource allocation, and risk assessments.
- Manage contractor and supplier relationships, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations and performance standards.
- Ensure all projects comply with relevant building regulations, health and safety legislation, and environmental standards.
- Provide regular, clear, and concise project updates to senior management, steering committees, and other key stakeholders.
- Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented approach to project delivery.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing large-scale capital projects , preferably within property or infrastructure development.
- Strong understanding of financial management, contract negotiation, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and methodologies relevant to capital investment. A degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Construction Management, Finance) is required.
- Experience working within the Scottish property or infrastructure sector.
