Project Manager – High-Rise Residential
Job Title: Project Manager – High-Rise Residential
Location: British Columbia
Industry: Residential Construction / High-Rise
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary Range: $150,000 - $170,000 + Bonus + Benefits
About the Opportunity
Skyline Recruitment is working with an established construction company in British Columbia that is looking to add an experienced High-Rise Project Manager to its team for a major upcoming residential development.
The project consists of three residential towers totalling more than 500 units and represents a significant, long-term opportunity for an experienced Project Manager who wants to take ownership of a major high-rise development.
This search is open to candidates across Canada who are willing to relocate to British Columbia.
The key requirement is genuine high-rise experience. We are looking for Project Managers who have been involved in the delivery of large concrete residential towers from start to finish , rather than candidates whose experience has been limited to individual phases of a high-rise project.
For the right candidate currently based elsewhere in Canada, relocation to BC is absolutely on the table.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
You will take a senior role in the delivery of a large-scale, multi-tower residential development, working closely with the site team, consultants, subcontractors and senior management.
Responsibilities will include:
- Managing the project from pre-construction and mobilization through construction, occupancy and final handover
- Taking ownership of project budgets, schedules, procurement and overall delivery
- Coordinating consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and internal project teams
- Managing tendering, contracts, scopes of work and subcontractor negotiations
- Monitoring project costs, forecasting and financial performance
- Managing RFIs, change orders, submittals and project documentation
- Driving the construction schedule and identifying potential delays before they impact delivery
- Working closely with the Superintendent and site team to maintain alignment between field operations and project management
- Managing relationships with ownership, consultants and other key stakeholders
- Ensuring quality, safety and project standards are maintained throughout construction
- Supporting the successful delivery of all three towers and more than 500 residential units
What We’re Looking For
The most important requirement for this position is proven high-rise residential construction experience from start to finish.
You should have:
- Significant Project Management experience within high-rise residential construction
- Proven experience delivering large concrete residential towers
- Experience taking at least one major high-rise project from the beginning of construction through occupancy and final completion
- Strong understanding of concrete high-rise construction, sequencing, structure, building envelope, interiors and commissioning
- Experience managing large project budgets and complex construction schedules
- Strong subcontractor procurement and management experience
- Excellent cost control, forecasting and change management skills
- Ability to work closely with Superintendents and large site teams
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with construction management software such as Procore and MS Project is preferred
- Construction Management, Engineering or related education is an asset
You do not need to currently live in British Columbia.
We are specifically interested in speaking with experienced High-Rise Project Managers from across Canada who would consider relocating to BC for the right long-term opportunity.
However, candidates must have genuine high-rise experience and must be able to demonstrate that they have taken a significant concrete tower project start to finish .
Why This Opportunity
This is not a single small tower or a short-term project.
You will be joining a major three-tower, 500+ unit residential development that provides significant scale, complexity and long-term project security.
For an experienced High-Rise Project Manager considering a move to British Columbia, this represents an opportunity to relocate for a substantial project where your previous tower experience will be genuinely valued.
If you have delivered high-rise residential construction from start to finish and are either already based in BC or willing to relocate, Skyline Recruitment would like to hear from you.
