About Equilibrium and associated companies
Equilibrium is a privately owned group operating across healthcare, recruitment and investment activities.
We are looking for a commercially minded and analytically capable project manager to our commercial team and work closely with the Commercial Director, taking ownership of commercial projects and business improvement initiatives across the Group.
This is a broad role spanning multiple business areas on the commercial side - costs, pricing, reporting, system implementation, analysis, workforce, etc - rather than clinical or care delivery. The role will primarily sit within our healthcare business initially. This is a hands-on role requiring strong judgement, financial confidence and the ability to turn priorities into clear actions and delivered outcomes.
Healthcare experience is not essential - the role will suit someone comfortable working across different business areas, managing competing priorities and operating with a good level of independence.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver commercial and business improvement projects from initial requirement through to implementation.
- Drive and coordinate commercial, operational and business improvement projects across the Group.
- Translate priorities into clear project plans, actions, risks, timelines and deliverables.
- Turn strategic priorities into clear actions, timelines, trackers and deliverables.
- Build and maintain financial models, forecasts, business cases and commercial trackers.
- Track progress, identify blockers and ensure actions are complete
- Analyse costs, income, pricing and operational performance to support decision-making.
- Work with financial models, commercial reports and business information to support decision-making.
- Prepare concise findings, options and recommendations for senior stakeholders.
- Prepare clear summaries and updates for senior stakeholders
- Coordinate delivery across internal teams, advisers, suppliers and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate board packs, governance reporting and key documentation
- Identify blockers, maintain accountability and ensure actions progress.
- Support restructuring, process improvement, system implementation and contract projects.
- Improve business processes, reporting arrangements and operational controls.
- Improve internal processes, reporting and operational controls
- Support the implementation of systems, contractual changes and organisational improvements
- Take ownership of projects that cross departmental boundaries
- Monitor whether completed projects deliver the intended commercial or operational outcome.
Who we are looking for:
You should be able to demonstrate:
- Personal ownership of cross-functional projects through implementation.
- Experience working with budgets, costs, pricing, forecasts or commercial performance.
- Strong excel and analytical capability.
- Experience building or materially adapting models, trackers, dashboards or business cases.
- Evidence of implementing a process, reporting or system improvement.
- The ability to turn broad requirements into structured plans and practical outputs.
- Clear written communication and concise decision-support reporting.
- Confidence coordinating stakeholders across different functions.
- Sound judgement when information is incomplete or priorities conflict
- A proactive, practical and hands-on approach.
Relevant backgrounds may include commercial operations, project delivery, business operations, PMO, operational improvement, commercial analysis, strategy transformation or consultancy.
What We Offer
- £39,000 - £45,000 salary (depending on experience)
- Hybrid role, 40 hours per week. 3 days on site (mostly Wilmslow and services across greater Manchester) and 2 days WFH. (3 days on site in on site and 2 days WFH)
- Exposure to varied commercial and operational projects
- Direct involvement in senior-level priorities and decision-making
- Birthday Day off
If you're someone who loves turning plans into action, bringing structure to complexity, and making things happen-we'd love to hear from you.
