Job Description
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager – Planning to lead project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and control activities across large-scale construction, interior fit-out, infrastructure, or real estate projects. The role will be responsible for developing project schedules, tracking progress, forecasting risks, and ensuring timely project delivery through effective planning and coordination with cross-functional stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Scheduling
- Develop detailed project schedules, work breakdown structures (WBS), and execution plans.
- Establish project milestones, critical paths, and resource-loaded schedules.
- Prepare baseline schedules and monitor project performance against approved plans.
- Ensure alignment of project timelines with business objectives and client requirements.
Project Monitoring & Control
- Track project progress and identify schedule variances.
- Analyze delays, bottlenecks, and potential risks impacting project delivery.
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for management and clients.
- Monitor project productivity and recommend corrective actions to maintain timelines.
Resource Planning
- Coordinate with project teams to optimize manpower, equipment, and material allocation.
- Develop resource histograms and workforce deployment plans.
- Ensure efficient utilization of project resources across multiple projects.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Collaborate with project managers, design teams, procurement, and site execution teams.
- Facilitate planning review meetings and project status discussions.
- Provide planning insights and recommendations to senior leadership and clients.
Risk Management
- Identify project risks, schedule constraints, and mitigation strategies.
- Conduct delay analysis and impact assessments.
- Develop recovery plans and acceleration programs whenever required.
Cost & Performance Reporting
- Support project control functions including cost tracking and forecasting.
- Monitor earned value metrics and project performance indicators.
- Prepare dashboards, MIS reports, and management presentations.
- Assist in budget planning and project forecasting activities.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain project planning documentation, schedules, and progress records.
- Ensure adherence to organizational project management standards and procedures.
- Support contract management by providing schedule-related inputs for claims and extensions of time (EOT).
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related discipline.
- PMP, PMI-SP, Primavera P6, or equivalent project planning certification preferred.
- 10–12 years of experience in project planning and controls within construction, infrastructure, real estate, or interior fit-out projects.
- Experience managing planning functions for large and complex projects.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Expert knowledge of Primavera P6, MS Project, and project scheduling techniques.
- Strong understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM) and project control methodologies.
- Proficiency in project reporting, forecasting, and schedule analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong leadership and coordination abilities.
- Advanced knowledge of project lifecycle management.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Power BI, and project management tools.
