Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Project Manager – Interior Design & Fit-Out to lead end-to-end execution of commercial, residential, retail, hospitality, or workplace interior projects. The incumbent will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering projects within scope, budget, quality standards, and timelines while managing cross-functional teams, vendors, contractors, and client stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
- Manage the complete lifecycle of interior fit-out projects from project handover to final closure.
- Develop project schedules, execution plans, resource allocation, and procurement strategies.
- Ensure timely delivery of projects while maintaining quality, safety, and cost objectives.
- Monitor project progress and proactively resolve issues impacting timelines or budgets.
- Conduct regular site inspections and review project milestones.
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout project execution.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Lead project review meetings and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
- Manage client expectations and address escalations effectively.
Team & Vendor Management
- Lead and coordinate project engineers, site supervisors, designers, and contractors.
- Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure adherence to project requirements.
- Monitor workforce productivity and ensure optimal utilization of resources.
- Foster a collaborative and performance-driven project environment.
Budget & Cost Control
- Prepare and manage project budgets and cost plans.
- Track project expenditures and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
- Review quotations, variation orders, invoices, and contractor bills.
- Ensure project profitability and control budget deviations.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with design specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.
- Implement quality control procedures and conduct regular inspections.
- Drive adherence to company SOPs, EHS guidelines, and project governance processes.
- Manage snagging, punch-list activities, and project handover documentation.
Risk Management
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Manage project changes and ensure minimal impact on delivery schedules.
- Maintain proper documentation of project plans, reports, contracts, and approvals.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, Construction Management, or related field.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or Project Management certification is preferred.
- 10–12 years of experience in interior fit-out, construction, workplace, retail, hospitality, or commercial projects.
- Proven experience managing multiple large-scale interior projects simultaneously.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong project management and execution capabilities.
- Excellent knowledge of interior fit-out materials, construction methodologies, and site operations.
- Proficiency in project planning tools such as MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent.
- Strong commercial acumen and budget management skills.
- Excellent stakeholder and client management abilities.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and regulatory compliance requirements.
