Overview In this role you lead major electrical and energy infrastructure workstreams from design through handover, driving safe, cost-efficient delivery. You shape strategy, coordinate cross‑disciplinary teams, and manage NEC-based contracts to deliver high‑impact projects for clients. You will engage senior stakeholders and mentor the PM function, supporting governance and assurance across complex portfolios. Responsibilities - Lead full lifecycle delivery of major workstreams or multi‑disciplinary packages from design through commissioning and handover
- Manage NEC contracts (Options A, C, E) at a strategic level including administration, warnings, compensation events, programme management and change control
- Oversee multiple contractors, consultants, and design partners across OHL, substations, underground cable, civil and electrical interfaces
- Provide technical leadership on electrical infrastructure, ensuring compliance with standards and integration
- Drive programme performance across cost, schedule, risk and quality for complex portfolios
- Lead senior stakeholder engagement and influence decisions across engineering, commercial, consenting, environmental and client governance
- Prepare high‑level reports and dashboards for client leadership and internal stakeholders
- Mentor junior PMs and support team development
Key requirements - Degree‑qualified in engineering, project management or construction
- Working toward a professional qualification (APM, ICE, IET, MCIOB, etc.)
- Experience managing multiple workstreams independently in safety‑critical environments
- Ability to interpret schedules, cost data and risk outputs from planning and controls
- Eligible to obtain BPSS security clearance
- Proven experience delivering complex electrical infrastructure projects
- Strong track record with OHL, substations, underground cable, grid connections or major electrical engineering projects
- Confident leading multi‑stakeholder programmes involving contractors, engineering partners, regulators and client organizations
