Overview As a Program Manager in G&H’s Innovation Hub and Ilminster, you drive the end-to-end delivery of multi-million pound projects, ensuring on-time delivery and budget discipline. You’ll coordinate with engineering, supply chain and business development to shape and govern programmes from concept through production. This role blends technical oversight with commercial governance in a defence and optics context, offering impact across cross-functional teams. You’ll help realise profit improvement while upholding G&H values and standards.

Responsibilities - Own and deliver the project portfolio with financial and technical accountability
- Create and manage project plans and SOWs with cross-functional partners
- Coordinate across Engineering, Supply Chain and Operations to meet schedules and budgets
- Lead proposals from concept to contract award in collaboration with Business Development and Engineering
- Schedule and chair regular customer program meetings
- Identify and realise Profit Improvement on projects
- Maintain action plans and drive internal team meetings
- Apply change, risk and resource management
- Prepare reports for senior leadership (GM OS Division, Lead Program Manager, Site Lead)
Key requirements - Minimum 5 years of management experience in multi-million programs
- Degree level educated in a relevant technical, science, engineering or business discipline
- Technical knowledge in at least one of Mechanical Design, Optics or Electronics
- Knowledge of commercial aspects of Optics desirable
- Proven track record in driving and executing Defence programs
