Overview In this role you will shape and deliver supply chain strategy for major infrastructure bids and live projects. You will work with cross-functional teams to engage suppliers early, mitigate risks and secure commercial objectives, enabling successful mobilisation and delivery. You will influence senior stakeholders and drive SRM initiatives to create competitive advantage. This is a strategic, front-end role with meaningful impact on large-scale programmes.

Responsibilities - Develop and implement supply chain strategies for major bids and project delivery
- Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships and SRM initiatives
- Lead early market engagement to assess capability and readiness
- Develop sourcing strategies across labour, materials, plant and subcontract packages
- Collaborate with commercial, technical and project leadership to integrate supply chain into bid solutions
- Facilitate Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) with key partners
- Identify supply chain risks and create mitigation plans
- Support supplier performance management and continuous improvement
- Produce reporting for senior stakeholders on readiness, risks and opportunities
- Champion governance, compliance and best practice across supply chain activities
Key requirements - Experience developing and delivering supply chain or procurement strategies within construction, infrastructure or major projects
- Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence diverse teams
- Experience engaging strategically with suppliers and building long-term partnerships
- Commercially minded with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Experience supporting major bids, pre-construction activities or project mobilisation is advantageous
- Exposure to major public sector clients or programmes is valuable
- Degree, MCIPS or progress towards CIPS is desirable but not essential
