Overview In this role you will oversee the delivery of multiple construction and refurbishment projects from inception to completion, working with site teams, subcontractors, clients and consultants. You’ll ensure safety, profitability and adherence to programme and quality standards, while driving collaboration across stakeholders. The position offers exposure to pre-construction through to handover in a well-established contractor environment. You will play a key part in shaping project outcomes and supporting career growth within the business.
Responsibilities - Lead projects through all delivery stages from pre-construction to completion
- Support and manage Site Managers, Supervisors, and Project Managers
- Ensure project performance, profitability and compliance
- Interpret drawings, specifications and contracts
- Coordinate with clients, consultants and stakeholders
- Manage specialist and nominated subcontractors
- Maintain Health & Safety and CDM compliance
- Chair project meetings and prepare progress/contract reports
- Price variations, prepare valuations and assist with tenders
- Monitor costs, procurement, and supplier invoices
- Contribute to final accounts and business requirements
- Support career progression through additional responsibilities
Key requirements - Construction-related qualification or equivalent experience
- Demonstrable project management experience in construction
- Ability to read/interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong leadership, planning and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management
- Proficient IT skills including Microsoft Office and project management software
- Full UK driving licence
- SMSTS or SSSTS (desirable)
- First Aid at Work (desirable)
