Overview In this role you lead the delivery of large-scale water and wastewater schemes for key clients in the Thames South East region, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams to move projects from identification through to handover. You will manage safety, scope, cost, and quality while maintaining strong client relationships and governance. You drive design, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities, aligning with NEC contracts and company procedures. Responsibilities - Engage with key water clients to understand needs, identify opportunities, and support tendering teams
- Oversee a portfolio of projects across design, civil, MEICA, commissioning, and handover
- Lead delivery across programme, budget, HSE, and progress for all projects
- Develop and mentor staff, supporting development and retention
- Maintain professional relationships with senior client representatives
- Apply NEC contracts knowledge and manage commercial aspects
- Coordinate with design teams to meet client standards and regulatory requirements
- Provide technical input for tenders and support bid efforts
- Create and maintain detailed programmes using MS Project and Primavera P6
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality systems
- Produce performance reports and participate in monthly reviews
- Finalize contract documentation with Commercial Team and manage variations/final accounts
Key requirements - 10+ years’ post-graduate experience in a client-facing capacity within the water/wastewater/MEICA sector
- Working knowledge of large-scale Municipal Wastewater Treatment processes and MEICA design/operations
- Understanding of design processes (HAZOP, HAZCON) and health and safety in project delivery
- Proven track record delivering significant water/wastewater projects with supply chain collaboration
- Strong knowledge of CDM regulations in project delivery
