Your new role
- Lead and manage multifamily high-performance and passive house projects from design through construction completion
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, developers, architects, engineers, and contractors on sustainability and decarbonization strategies
- Recommend energy efficiency, resiliency, and building performance improvements supported by engineering analysis and building science principles
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring schedules, deliverables, and program requirements are met
- Perform architectural and engineering design reviews and provide technical guidance to project teams
- Advise clients on certification and incentive programs including ENERGY STAR, Enterprise Green Communities, LEED, and Passive House standards
- Perform energy modeling and building performance analysis to evaluate projected energy use and sustainability outcomes
- Review construction submittals and oversee project compliance throughout design and construction phases
- Conduct site inspections, testing, and quality assurance reviews of building envelope and mechanical systems
- Stay current with evolving energy codes, industry standards, incentive programs, and emerging technologies
- Prepare compliance documentation and coordinate directly with program administrators and stakeholders
- Mentor junior engineers and project managers while contributing to process improvements and best practices across the team
- Support the continued growth of the firm's sustainability and high-performance buildings practice
What you'll need to succeed
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, Building Science, or a related discipline
- Experience managing sustainability, building performance, energy efficiency, or high-performance building projects
- Strong understanding of passive house principles, building science, energy efficiency, and sustainable design strategies
- Experience working with green building certification programs such as Passive House, LEED, ENERGY STAR, or Enterprise Green Communities
- Familiarity with energy modeling and building performance software such as PHPP, WUFI Passive, DesignPH, SketchUp, or similar tools
- Ability to review and interpret architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural construction documents
- Experience conducting construction inspections, quality assurance reviews, or performance testing activities
- Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills
- Ability to manage client relationships and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary project teams
- Professional credentials such as CPHC, PE, RA, HERS Rater, Phius Verifier, or other sustainability-focused certifications are preferred
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and passionate about advancing sustainable building practices
