Position Summary
Serves as the primary point of contact for Suffolk County and is responsible for overall project planning, execution, reporting, risk management, resource coordination, and successful delivery of the Drupal CMS migration project. The Project Manager oversees all project activities from initiation through post-migration support and final handoff. The RFQ explicitly requires the vendor to provide a single point of contact serving as Project Manager.
Roles and Responsibilities
• Serve as primary liaison with Suffolk County stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
• Manage project risks, issues, and mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate technical, migration, testing, training, and deployment activities.
• Provide status reporting and executive briefings.
• Ensure compliance with contractual and technical requirements.
• Oversee knowledge transfer and final project transition.
Professional Experience
• Minimum 8 years of IT project management experience.
• Experience managing enterprise CMS implementations and migrations.
• Experience leading government or public-sector technology projects.
• Experience managing Drupal-based implementations.
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business, Computer Science, or related field.
Preferred Certifications
• PMP
• PMI-ACP
• ITIL Foundation
