Position Details
- Title: Principal Project/Program Manager
- Location: MN013 (100% Remote)
- Rate: $48/hr
- Work Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (HST, PST, MST, EST) with flexibility to meet customer during HST hours as needed
- Travel: Up to 10%
Project Summary
The HI HAP/EDW Project is scheduled to go live on 12/31/2025. This role requires a strong project manager to transition from DDI to M&O and support ongoing changes and enhancements.
Key Responsibilities
- Define work strategies, align resources, and oversee planning/execution of large-scale implementations
- Anticipate and proactively address potential issues
- Maintain project documentation, deliverables, and lessons learned
- Communicate project details to both business and technical teams, including clients
- Manage cross-functional interdependencies and improve processes for performance optimization
- Provide proactive risk management and issue resolution
- Ensure technology solutions align with business strategies
- Direct integration of technical aspects across related projects/programs
- Conduct analyses, needs assessments, and cost/benefit evaluations
- Monitor financials for budget compliance
- Represent project status to clients and leadership
- Address project challenges collaboratively with client and internal teams
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years IT Project Management experience
- 2+ years client-facing experience
- Hands-on experience with all aspects of the System Development Life Cycle
- 2+ years managing projects for a State Medicaid Agency or large healthcare organization
- 2+ years managing EDW projects with data migration
- PMP Certification (required)
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, Visio)
- Ability to work on Hawai'i Standard Time (HST)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience facilitating Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions
- 2+ years experience with projects in the M&O phase of the lifecycle

- Strong healthcare and Medicaid project management background
- Proven ability to build collaborative client relationships
- Skilled in risk/issue management and delivering multiple maintenance/enhancement releases annually
- Comfortable working with matrixed teams and managing documentation
