IT Project Manager
Location: San Antonio, Texas (Hybrid)
Schedule: 2 days onsite, 3 days remote. Hours are M-F 8-5
Length: 12+ Month W2 Contract. Expected to be a multi-year engagement
Role Overview
This position supports the Enterprise PMO (EPMO), managing business-funded initiatives with IT components. The role requires strong project management fundamentals and the ability to drive delivery across complex, cross-functional projects. The focus will be on Cloud and Infrastructure initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end project delivery, including scope, budget, timeline, and outcomes.
- Lead multiple large, complex, enterprise-level projects.
- Manage budgets, schedules, roadmaps, and risks.
- Provide executive-level reporting and stakeholder management.
- Lead financial tracking, including forecasting, accruals, and variance analysis.
- Drive project execution aligned to organizational standards.
- Partner with business and IT stakeholders to deliver value.
- Ensure strong communication across executive and project teams.
- Support portfolio planning, sequencing, prioritization, and resource management.
- Contribute to PMO process improvements and best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience managing highly complex, cross-functional projects.
- Proficiency with Azure Cloud, cloud optimization, and application migration.
- PMP Certification.
- Strong executive communication and presentation skills.
- Proven leadership across projects, programs, and teams.
- Financial acumen and the ability to build business cases.
- Strong collaboration, organization, and change management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree.
- Portfolio management experience.
- Utility industry experience.
- A background in consulting or other multidisciplinary fields.
Compensation & Benefits
The pay rate for this position will be $70-75 an hour on W2.
