- Initial 6-month contract
- £550 - £600 per day via Umbrella
- London based – 90% onsite / 10% remote

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading technology organisation delivering secure cloud solutions within complex enterprise and regulated environments. They are looking for an experienced Azure / AWS Cloud Project Delivery Engineer to support the delivery of secure cloud infrastructure, platform and application hosting solutions.
This is an exciting opportunity for a technically strong cloud engineer who enjoys working across architecture, engineering, security and operational teams to deliver cloud transformation, migration and modernisation initiatives.
WHAT WILL THE AZURE / AWS CLOUD PROJECT DELIVERY ENGINEER BE DOING?
As an Azure / AWS Cloud Project Delivery Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing, implementing and transitioning secure cloud services from initial design through to operational handover.
Working within Agile delivery teams, you'll collaborate with project managers, architects, security teams, suppliers and customers to deliver secure cloud platforms and application hosting solutions. You'll combine hands‑on technical delivery with strong stakeholder engagement, ensuring cloud services are scalable, resilient and operationally ready.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver secure Azure and AWS cloud hosting solutions through the full project lifecycle
- Work within Agile delivery teams, contributing to sprint planning, reviews and continuous improvement
- Design and implement secure cloud networking architectures
- Deploy cloud-native, IaaS, PaaS and containerised solutions
- Implement cloud identity, authentication and authorisation solutions
- Develop Infrastructure as Code solutions to enable repeatable deployments
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks
- Deliver monitoring, alerting and operational visibility solutions
THE AZURE / AWS CLOUD PROJECT DELIVERY ENGINEER SHOULD HAVE…
- Proven experience delivering secure Azure and AWS cloud solutions
- Strong background working within enterprise or regulated cloud environments
- Experience delivering cloud infrastructure projects from design through to operational handover
- Strong understanding of cloud networking including: Hub-and-spoke architectures, Virtual networking, Routing, Segmentation or Hybrid connectivity
- Experience deploying and managing: Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), AWS EC2, Containerised workloads, or Kubernetes platforms including AKS / EKS
- Strong knowledge of cloud identity and security including: Microsoft Entra ID, AWS Identity Center, Okta, Privileged Access Management (PAM) or Secure access controls
- Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
- Experience developing automation solutions and CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of DevOps tooling including: Azure DevOps, GitLab, or Python
- Experience with monitoring and observability platforms including: Azure Monitor, Splunk, or Logging and alerting solutions
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams
