About the Role

This executive-level role will spearhead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale, complex infrastructure projects across various sectors. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end management of major infrastructure projects, ensuring successful delivery within scope, budget, and timeline.
- Develop and implement strategic project plans, including stakeholder engagement, risk mitigation, and resource allocation.
- Oversee the appointment and management of external consultants, contractors, and vendors.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, environmental, and quality standards across all project activities.
- Manage complex financial aspects of projects, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and value engineering.
- Act as the primary liaison with clients, government agencies, and other key stakeholders, fostering strong relationships.
- Provide expert leadership and direction to project teams, promoting collaboration and high performance.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop robust contingency plans.
- Manage contractual obligations, resolve disputes, and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement in project delivery methodologies.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
- Professional accreditation such as PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, or equivalent is mandatory.
- A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in project management, with at least 8 years focused on large-scale infrastructure projects (e.g., transportation, energy, utilities).
- Demonstrated success in managing projects with budgets exceeding £100 million.
- Expert knowledge of project management methodologies, risk management, and contract law.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate geographically dispersed teams effectively.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency with advanced project management software and collaboration tools.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver results in a fully remote capacity.
- Strong understanding of the UK infrastructure landscape and regulatory environment.
