About the Role
Our client is a leading M&E (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) services contractor renowned for its expertise in delivering high-specification projects within the residential and commercial sectors across the
UK . They are seeking an accomplished MEP Project Manager to lead and manage complex projects in the
Bristol, South West England, UK area. This role demands a strong technical understanding of M&E systems, exceptional project management skills, and the ability to manage budgets, schedules, and project teams effectively. You will be responsible for the seamless integration of M&E services into flagship building projects, ensuring quality, safety, and client satisfaction. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of MEP project delivery from inception to completion, including planning, design coordination, procurement, and installation.
- Manage project budgets, ensuring cost control and accurate financial forecasting.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, tracking progress and implementing corrective actions to meet deadlines.
- Lead and motivate project teams, including engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors.
- Ensure all MEP installations comply with relevant British Standards, regulations, and contract specifications.
- Manage client and consultant relationships, ensuring clear communication and timely resolution of issues.
- Oversee procurement of materials and services, ensuring value for money and timely delivery.
- Implement and monitor health, safety, and environmental procedures on site.
- Review and approve technical submittals, drawings, and variations.
- Prepare regular project reports for senior management.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Significant proven experience as an MEP Project Manager within the construction industry, specifically managing M&E services.
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and installations.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asta Powerproject) and standard office applications.
- Excellent understanding of contract management, tendering, and procurement processes.
- Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations relevant to M&E installations.
- Experience working on high-end residential or complex commercial builds is highly desirable.
- Based in or able to commute to Bristol .
