About the Role
Our client, a key player in the development of sustainable energy infrastructure, is seeking an experienced Energy Project Manager to oversee diverse projects across the **Manchester, Greater Manchester, UK** region. This role is central to delivering complex energy projects, from initial concept and feasibility studies through to construction, commissioning, and handover. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of energy projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Develop detailed project plans, defining scope, objectives, deliverables, budgets, and schedules.
- Coordinate and lead project teams, including engineers, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders.
- Oversee procurement processes, tender evaluations, and contract negotiations with suppliers and vendors.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality and safety standards.
- Manage client and stakeholder communications, providing regular progress reports and updates.
- Conduct post-project reviews and identify lessons learned for continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience (minimum 4 years) in project management, specifically within the energy, utilities, or construction industry.
- Demonstrated success in managing complex projects from initiation to completion.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP).
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
- Ability to manage budgets, resources, and timelines effectively.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Knowledge of renewable energy technologies is a plus.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the **UK**.
