About the Role
Our client is looking for a seasoned Offshore Wind Project Manager to lead the development and execution of significant offshore wind farm projects. This is a critical role within their renewable energy division, responsible for overseeing projects from conception through to commissioning, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. As this is a remote-first position, you will leverage cutting-edge digital collaboration tools to manage teams, stakeholders, and suppliers across various locations, driving forward the transition to clean energy from your home base.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of offshore wind projects, including planning, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk management strategies.
- Lead and motivate multi-disciplinary project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance remote working environment.
- Oversee contract negotiations with key suppliers, manufacturers, and service providers.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, environmental, and quality (HSEQ) standards throughout project lifecycles.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies, grid operators, and other external stakeholders to secure necessary permits and approvals.
Requirements
- Significant experience (8+ years) in project management within the offshore wind or large-scale renewable energy sector.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- Strong understanding of offshore wind technology, supply chains, and project development lifecycle.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, adept at managing remotely.
- Formal project management qualification (e.g., PMP, Prince2) is highly desirable.
- Ability to work autonomously and make decisive actions in a remote setup.
