About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Technical Project Manager to join their dynamic team. This is a fully remote, permanent position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the UK. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing complex software development projects from initiation to completion, ensuring delivery on time and within budget. You will be instrumental in driving project success, fostering collaboration among cross-functional teams, and implementing best practices in project management. This role requires exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as a deep understanding of agile methodologies and technical project lifecycles. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple high-profile technical projects concurrently.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, resources, and budgets, and ensure adherence to them.
- Facilitate agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues proactively.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure clear, consistent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, product, design, and QA teams to ensure alignment and efficient workflow.
- Track project progress, performance, and key metrics, providing regular reports to senior management.
- Drive continuous improvement within project management processes and team dynamics.
- Champion agile principles and practices across the organization.
- Manage vendor relationships and contracts as required.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical project management, with a strong focus on software development projects.
- Proven experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
- Excellent understanding of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex budgets and resource allocation.
- Experience in risk management and mitigation strategies.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with remote team management is highly desirable.
- PMP, Scrum Master, or other relevant certifications are a plus.
