About the Role
Our client, a pioneering company in the renewable energy sector, is seeking a dedicated Project Manager to oversee a portfolio of innovative projects in Edinburgh, Scotland, UK . This role is integral to driving the company's mission to expand sustainable energy solutions. You will manage projects from conception through to implementation, ensuring they meet environmental, technical, and financial objectives. This hybrid role requires a blend of on-site presence for key meetings and site visits, with flexibility for remote work.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full project lifecycle for renewable energy projects, including planning, design, procurement, and construction/installation.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
- Ensure all projects comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental policies.
- Identify and manage project risks, implementing effective mitigation strategies.
- Monitor project progress, reporting key milestones and issues to stakeholders.
- Facilitate project team meetings and ensure effective communication across all parties.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes within the organization.
Requirements
- Proven experience in project management, with a strong emphasis on renewable energy projects (e.g., solar, wind, battery storage).
- Solid understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile).
- Experience in managing budgets, schedules, and resources for complex technical projects.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Familiarity with relevant environmental regulations and energy sector policies.
- Ability to identify and manage project risks and issues effectively.
- Proficiency with project management software.
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field is required.
