About the Role
Our client, an innovative software development company, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager - Technology to lead complex technology projects, operating remotely with a strong presence in Brighton, East Sussex . This role requires a seasoned professional with expertise in agile methodologies, software development lifecycles, and stakeholder management. You will be responsible for the planning, execution, and successful delivery of critical technology initiatives, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The successful candidate will drive project success and contribute significantly to the company's technological advancements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the full lifecycle of technology projects from initiation to closure.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, resources, timelines, and budgets.
- Utilize agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) to manage project execution and facilitate team collaboration.
- Manage project risks, issues, and changes, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, QA, and business stakeholders.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet defined quality standards.
- Facilitate project meetings, stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Track project progress, report on status, and provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing project team environment.
- Continuously improve project management processes and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field. PMP or PRINCE2 certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, with at least 4 years focused on technology or software development projects.
- Proven experience managing complex, cross-functional technology projects using agile methodologies.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC) and various development frameworks.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Jira, Asana, Trello) and tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage stakeholder expectations and build strong working relationships.
- Experience working in a remote or hybrid team environment.
