Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex FinTech projects.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resource allocation, and budget management.
- Utilize Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) to manage project sprints, backlogs, and releases.
- Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Manage stakeholder relationships, providing clear and concise updates on project progress, risks, and dependencies.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, developing contingency plans as necessary.
- Ensure product quality and adherence to regulatory compliance standards within the financial sector.
- Coordinate with engineering, product, marketing, and compliance teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Drive continuous improvement by analysing project performance and implementing process enhancements.
- Mentor junior project managers and team members, fostering a culture of excellence.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Project Manager role, with a significant focus on FinTech or financial services technology projects.
- Proven experience managing projects using Agile methodologies (Scrum Master certification is a plus).
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex software development lifecycles.
- Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements within the UK.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Trello.
- Experience with budgeting and resource allocation for technology projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience working in the Cardiff area or within the Welsh technology sector is advantageous.
