About the Role
Our client, a leading innovator in the FinTech space, is seeking a highly experienced and driven Remote Project Manager to spearhead the development and deployment of new financial technology solutions. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the
UK while playing a crucial role in shaping the future of digital finance. You will be responsible for managing the entire project lifecycle, from concept and planning through to execution and successful launch, working closely with global engineering, product, and compliance teams. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of financial services, regulatory requirements, and Agile methodologies, coupled with exceptional virtual leadership and communication skills. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end management of complex FinTech projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery of new products and features.
- Develop detailed project plans, defining scope, setting realistic timelines, managing budgets, and allocating resources effectively.
- Foster strong collaboration and communication within globally distributed, cross-functional teams (e.g., engineering, product management, compliance, marketing).
- Utilize Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) to drive project execution, facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Identify, assess, and proactively manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, implementing effective mitigation strategies.
- Effectively communicate project progress, key milestones, and potential impediments to stakeholders at all levels.
- Ensure all projects adhere to stringent regulatory requirements and compliance standards within the financial services industry.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee the procurement of necessary third-party services or technologies.
- Conduct thorough post-project analysis, identifying lessons learned and driving continuous improvement in project delivery processes.
Requirements
- A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in project management, with a significant focus on FinTech, financial services, or complex software development projects.
- Proven success in managing multiple concurrent projects, including software development, product launches, and regulatory compliance initiatives.
- In-depth knowledge of Agile/Scrum frameworks and practical experience applying them in a software development context.
- Exceptional virtual leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with leading project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Slack, Miro).
- Familiarity with financial regulations (e.g., GDPR, PCI DSS, AML) and their impact on project delivery.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline; relevant certifications (PMP, CSM, CSPO) are a strong asset.
- Self-motivated, organised, and able to thrive in a fully remote, fast-paced work environment.
