About the Role
Our client, a dynamic technology solutions provider, is seeking an adept IT Project Manager to oversee software development projects within their **Cardiff**-based team. This role is integral to managing the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), from initial requirements gathering and planning through to deployment and post-launch support. You will collaborate closely with development teams, product owners, and business stakeholders to ensure the timely and successful delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet evolving business needs. This **hybrid** position offers a balanced approach to work, combining the productivity of office-based collaboration with the flexibility of remote work.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and drive the execution of software development projects using Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
- Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource requirements.
- Track project progress, identify deviations from the plan, and implement corrective actions.
- Manage risks and issues, escalating when necessary and proposing solutions.
- Communicate project status effectively to all stakeholders through regular reports and meetings.
- Ensure the quality and timely delivery of software releases.
- Foster a collaborative and productive environment within the development team.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an IT Project Manager, with a strong focus on software development projects.
- Solid understanding of Agile principles and practices (Scrum Master certification is a plus).
- Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar.
- Familiarity with the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a **hybrid** setting, balancing remote and in-office collaboration.
