About the Role
Our client, a leading financial services institution located in
Glasgow, Scotland, UK , is seeking a dedicated Project Manager to oversee critical IT infrastructure projects. This role is essential for ensuring the stability, scalability, and security of our client's technology foundation. You will be responsible for managing the planning, execution, and successful delivery of infrastructure upgrades, network implementations, and data centre initiatives. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end management of IT infrastructure projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.
- Develop detailed project schedules, allocate resources, and manage project budgets effectively.
- Coordinate with internal IT teams, vendors, and external contractors to ensure project milestones are met.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues related to infrastructure deployments.
- Ensure compliance with IT security policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage stakeholder communications, providing regular updates on project status and progress.
- Oversee the procurement of hardware, software, and services required for infrastructure projects.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews and document lessons learned.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager, with a strong focus on IT infrastructure projects (networking, servers, storage, cloud).
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and best practices.
- Experience with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
- Excellent understanding of network protocols, server technologies, and cloud computing concepts.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira).
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
- Relevant certifications such as PMP, ITIL Foundation, or CCNA are advantageous.
