About the Role
Our client is actively seeking a qualified and experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee significant building projects in and around Edinburgh . This role is pivotal in ensuring that all construction activities are completed safely, on time, and within budget, adhering to the highest standards of quality and compliance. You will manage all aspects of the construction process, from initial planning and site management to final handover, working closely with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients. This is a site-based role requiring strong leadership and on-the-ground management skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of construction projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of on-site staff, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations and site management protocols.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential delays or issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Liaise with clients, architects, and engineers to ensure project requirements are met and resolve any discrepancies.
- Oversee quality control and ensure all work meets project specifications and building codes.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager or Site Manager.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in construction project management software.
- Relevant degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
