About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager with a background in construction to join their team based in Cardiff . You will take ownership of major construction projects, ensuring they are executed efficiently, safely, and to stringent quality standards. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, strong leadership, and the ability to manage multiple facets of complex projects simultaneously. You will play a key role in delivering successful construction outcomes, contributing directly to the company's reputation for excellence in the Welsh construction sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end delivery of construction projects, from initial planning and design through to completion and handover.
- Ensure all projects comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as building codes and quality standards.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource plans, identifying and mitigating potential risks and issues.
- Oversee contractor and supplier relationships, ensuring performance meets contractual obligations.
- Liaise effectively with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project alignment and satisfaction.
- Conduct site visits and progress inspections to monitor project performance and quality.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in construction project management, with a proven ability to manage projects of significant scale and complexity.
- A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and regulations.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with relevant construction project management software.
