About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly motivated Senior Project Manager with a strong background in the construction industry to join their dynamic team in Cardiff . This role is crucial for overseeing significant construction projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the project lifecycle, from initial planning and design through to execution and handover, working closely with architects, engineers, and contractors to achieve project goals and uphold our client's reputation for excellence in construction management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of construction projects, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and building codes in Cardiff .
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Oversee contractor and subcontractor performance, ensuring quality and adherence to contract terms.
- Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings to monitor project status and address any issues promptly.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth project progression and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Manage project risks and implement mitigation strategies effectively.
Requirements
- Significant experience (8+ years) in construction project management , with a proven history of successfully delivering large-scale projects.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building regulations.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in construction project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
- Relevant degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
