About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Project Manager to lead significant infrastructure development projects within their mining operations, operating in a fully remote capacity and supporting teams globally, including those near Oxford . This role is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of major capital projects, from conception and feasibility through to execution and closeout. You will manage project scope, budget, schedule, and resources, ensuring successful outcomes while adhering to the highest standards of safety and quality. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and closing of major mining infrastructure projects.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, budget, schedule, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
- Manage project teams, including engineers, contractors, and consultants, fostering effective collaboration.
- Oversee procurement processes, contract negotiation, and vendor management.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement timely mitigation actions.
- Ensure all projects are delivered in compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mining, Civil, Mechanical) or a related field; PMP certification is highly advantageous.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, with a substantial focus on large-scale mining infrastructure projects .
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- Strong expertise in project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working effectively in a remote team environment , managing distributed teams and projects.
