About the Role
Our client is actively seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Senior HSE Manager to join their team, supporting various energy projects from a remote capacity. This crucial role involves developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) management systems to ensure compliance and promote a strong safety culture across all project activities. You will be instrumental in safeguarding personnel, the environment, and company assets, working collaboratively with project teams and leadership to uphold the highest standards of operational integrity. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement robust HSE policies , procedures, and management systems for energy projects.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant national and international HSE legislation, regulations, and standards.
- Develop and deliver HSE training programs for project personnel at all levels.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, implementing corrective actions and preventative measures.
- Foster a proactive safety culture by promoting best practices and engaging with all stakeholders on HSE matters.
Requirements
- NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent higher qualification in Health and Safety.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in HSE management , with a substantial background in the energy sector (e.g., oil & gas, renewables, power generation).
- Proven experience in developing and implementing risk management strategies and safety management systems.
- In-depth knowledge of HSE legislation and best practices.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and influencing skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects effectively in a remote setting.
