About the Role
Our client requires a seasoned Lead Project Manager to oversee significant construction projects in and around Cardiff . This role is critical for managing the entire lifecycle of construction projects, from initial planning and design through to final completion and handover. You will be responsible for leading a team of project professionals, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency on site. This is an on-site position, offering a dynamic and challenging environment for a leader passionate about building and delivering exceptional infrastructure projects in Cardiff and the surrounding Welsh regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and manage all phases of construction projects, including procurement, planning, scheduling, and execution.
- Ensure all projects comply with relevant building regulations, safety standards, and quality control measures.
- Lead and mentor project teams, including site managers, engineers, and subcontractors, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Develop and maintain detailed project budgets, tracking costs and implementing cost-saving measures where appropriate.
- Liaise effectively with clients, architects, engineers, and local authorities to ensure project objectives are met.
- Manage project documentation, including contracts, permits, progress reports, and change orders.
Requirements
- Extensive experience (10+ years) in construction project management , with a proven history of successfully delivering large-scale projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, and health and safety regulations.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in construction project management software and tools.
- Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
